Richard Koshalek is President of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Under his leadership, Art Center has invigorated its educational goals with a transdisciplinary curriculum and has implemented a “research and development” mission to explore projects that are relevant to the future. Art Center is a vital advocate for design's expanded range of responsibilities in today's world. In recognition of a wide variety of projects produced, Art Center is the sole US design institution formally affiliated as an NGO with the United Nations. In addition to embarking on a campaign to increase annual and endowed scholarship funds, President Koshalek is addressing the long-range physical and environmental needs of the College by establishing a new South Campus facility and working with the Pritzker Prize winning architect Frank Gehry on the expansion of Art Center’s main hillside campus.
Koshalek was formerly the director of The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles for nearly two decades. He has participated as a delegate and panelist at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland in 2003 and in New York in 2002; was a juror at the 2002 Venice Biennale; was a juror and advisory Panel Member of the 2002 Chrysler Design Awards; served on the Nominating Committee led by David Rockefeller for the Praemium Imperiale Award; and was awarded the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres from the French Government in 1999. He was chairman of the Architectural Subcommittee to select the architect of the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and was on the Committee of Assessors to help determine the architect to design the Tate Gallery of Modern Art at Bankside in London.

John Schuman currently holds the title of Senior Worldwide Evangelist for Adobe. John has almost twenty years of experience in the field of digital imaging with over ten of those years focused primarily on web design and graphic technology. John joined Macromedia in 1998 following several years of digital imaging production experience in the San Francisco Bay Area and subsequently served as regional Solutions Engineer for Macromedia in Singapore from 1999 to 2001 where he spoke to thousands of Web professionals across the Asia/Pacific region at seminars and industry events. Upon returning to the U.S. in 2001, he took the role of Senior Education Solutions Engineer, focusing primarily on Higher Education in the North American region.
John currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Craig Swann is founder of the award-winning interactive agency CRASH!MEDIA and has been a core part of the Flash community since its inception. As an educator, curator, speaker, and writer of new media technologies, Craig has given more than 40 international talks on Flash interactivity, written and contributed to seven Flash books, and curated over a dozen new media events featuring some of the worlds brightest Flash and interactive developers.
His Flash work at CRASH! has received over a dozen awards and has been featured in both print and television. Craigs interactive audio work was developed into the award-winning online music application Looplabs, which has been used by such clients as Coca-Cola, Sony, Miller, Bacardi, Calvin Klein, Volvo, and others.
When not working on client projects Craig has a strong belief that R&R is R&D and is continually dreaming up and prototyping interactive tools in the present in anticipation of the fast-coming future.

For the past 15 years it has been a mainstay resource for IT professionals, programmers and system designers. Prior to Softpro Books, Rick held several management positions at Lotus Development Corporation. He was Director Document Products, where he managed the Manuscript team and Director of Marketing for the Engineering and Scientific Products division. He was Manager of Lotus Books, Lotus' in-house publisher of training and technical materials to support Lotus’ product offerings. Prior to Lotus, he created, designed and developed the Polaroid Education Project for Polaroid Corporation. This project leveraged Polaroid’s instant photography technology for the classroom. He has also held marketing positions at International Data Corporation and Electronics for Medicine.

Carlos Ulloa is an interactive designer & developer, currently based in London and working under the studio name of carlosulloa.com. He has been passionately involved with interactive entertainment since the early 90s. During his experience in the games industry, while at Psygnosis and Sony, he oversaw and participated in the development of several titles for PC and PlayStation.
In 1999, he moved into Flash development where he worked for OgilvyInteractive in Madrid, DoubleYou in Barcelona and Hi-ReS! in London, among other design and advertising agencies. During these years, his Flash work evolved into the fields of graphic and typographic effects, motion design, interactivity and 3D.
Carlos' recent commercial work includes major projects for Mercedes, Sony and BBC. He is also the creator and Project Lead of Papervision3D, an Open Source 3D engine for Flash.
